Doctor, I have a headache.
When do you sleep at night?
Very late. And I get up late in the morning too.
It shouldn't be like that. You should go to bed early and rise early.
Drink plenty of water, eat fruit, and play a little every day.
Thank you! I'll start today itself.
Explanation
A command (गच्छ!) can sound harsh; advice should be soft. That is विधिलिङ्: गच्छेत् — one should go, पिबेत् — one should drink. Form it by replacing the final ‑ति of the present with ‑एत्: गच्छति → गच्छेत्, पठति → पठेत्, भवति → भवेत्।
“एवं न भवेत्” = it should not be so।
Often no subject is stated — प्रतिदिनं पठेत् means people in general should study daily, like English ‹one should›. The negative just adds न: मिथ्या न वदेत् — one should not lie.

You are the doctor now. Give a friend five pieces of health advice with ‑एत् forms, including at least one prohibition with न (e.g., रात्रौ बहु न खादेत्).
