विवरणम् · Explanation
केषाञ्चित् धातूनां लृट्-रूपं किञ्चित् भिन्नम् — ददाति → दास्यति, वदति/ब्रवीति → वक्ष्यति, शृणोति → श्रोष्यति, पिबति → पास्यति। एतानि कण्ठस्थानि करोतु।
A handful of everyday verbs take short, irregular-looking future stems: ददाति → दास्यति (will give), शृणोति → श्रोष्यति (will hear), पिबति → पास्यति (will drink), and वक्ष्यति (will say, the future that goes with वदति in speech). Learn them as chunks; the endings are regular.
प्रतिज्ञायाम् “अवश्यम्” इति पदं योजयतु — “अवश्यं करिष्यामि”, “अवश्यम् आगमिष्यामि” इति। “परश्वः” = श्वः-अनन्तरं यः दिवसः।
To turn a plan into a promise, add अवश्यम् (certainly): अवश्यं करिष्यामि — I will definitely do it. New time word: परश्वः, the day after tomorrow, joining ह्यः, अद्य, श्वः on your timeline.

मित्राय तिस्रः प्रतिज्ञाः करोतु — “अहम् अवश्यं … दास्यामि / वक्ष्यामि / आगमिष्यामि” इति। ततः आगामिसप्ताहस्य द्वे योजने अपि वदतु।
Make three promises to a friend with अवश्यम्: what you will give, tell, or attend. Then state two plans for next week — one with वयम् (we will…) and one with a family member as subject.
