वयं गमिष्यामः
The future in all persons

लृट्-लकारस्य सर्वाणि रूपाणि — गमिष्यामः, गमिष्यन्ति, गमिष्यथ इत्यादीनि।

Complete the लृट् future: we will go, you all will go, they will go.

प्रवासस्य योजना
 पिता —  श्वः वयं सर्वे काशीं गमिष्यामः। 
Tomorrow we will all go to Kāśī.  
 पुत्रः —  कथं गमिष्यामः? रेलयानेन किम्? 
How will we go? By train?  
 पिता —  आम्, रेलयानेन। मातुलः तस्य पुत्रौ च अपि आगमिष्यन्ति। 
Yes, by train. Uncle and his two sons will come too.  
 पुत्री —  तौ अस्माभिः सह एव वत्स्यतः किम्? 
Will those two stay right with us?  
 पिता —  आम्। तत्र यूयं गङ्गां द्रक्ष्यथ, मन्दिराणि च द्रक्ष्यथ। 
Yes. There you all will see the Gaṅgā and the temples.  
 पुत्रः —  अहो! महान् आनन्दः भविष्यति! 
Wow! It is going to be such fun!  

विवरणम् · Explanation

लृट्-लकारस्य विभक्तयः लट्-समानाः एव। गमिष्यति/गमिष्यतः/गमिष्यन्ति, गमिष्यसि/गमिष्यथः/गमिष्यथ, गमिष्यामि/गमिष्यावः/गमिष्यामः। “गच्छ्” स्थाने “गमिष्य” — अन्यत् सर्वं पूर्ववत्।

Good news: the future endings are exactly the present endings. Swap the stem गच्छ‑ for गमिष्य‑ and recite as usual: गमिष्यति, गमिष्यतः, गमिष्यन्ति · गमिष्यसि, गमिष्यथः, गमिष्यथ · गमिष्यामि, गमिष्यावः, गमिष्यामः।

नूतनं रूपम् एकं ज्ञातव्यम् — “द्रक्ष्यति” (दृश् → will see)। तथा “वत्स्यति” (वस् → will stay) इति अपि श्रुतवन्तः। एतयोः रूपं विशेषम्, अतः कण्ठस्थं करोतु।

Two verbs change shape in the future: दृश् (पश्यति) becomes द्रक्ष्यति (will see), and वस् (वसति) becomes वत्स्यति (will stay). Memorise them as chunks — the endings still behave normally: द्रक्ष्यामि, द्रक्ष्यामः, द्रक्ष्यन्ति।

वाक्यं रचयतु — “They will play in the garden tomorrow.” Arrange the words.

योजयतु। Match subject and verb.

वाक्यव्यवहारः · Use it

कुटुम्बेन सह एकं प्रवासं योजयतु। पञ्च वाक्यानि वदतु — “वयं … गमिष्यामः”, “तत्र … द्रक्ष्यामः”, “मम पितरौ … करिष्यतः” इत्यादीनि।

Plan a family trip in five future sentences, mixing persons: वयं … गमिष्यामः (we'll go), तत्र … द्रक्ष्यामः (we'll see), मम भ्राता … करिष्यति, ते … खादिष्यन्ति।
