 अनिलः —  अद्य आतपः अस्ति। सूर्यः तपति। 
It's sunny today. The sun is blazing.  
 सविता —  आम्, उष्णम् अस्ति। … पश्यतु, मेघाः आगच्छन्ति! 
Yes, it's hot. … Look, clouds are coming!  
 अनिलः —  इदानीं वर्षा भवति! वायुः अपि वहति। 
Now it's raining! The wind is blowing too.  
 सविता —  वर्षानन्तरं शीतम् भवति। 
After rain it gets cold.  
 अनिलः —  उद्यानं पश्यतु — वृक्षाः हरिताः सन्ति, पुष्पाणि विकसन्ति। 
Look at the garden — the trees are green, the flowers are blooming.  
 सविता —  तत्र नदी वहति, पक्षिणः गायन्ति। प्रकृतिः सुन्दरा अस्ति! 
A river flows there, birds are singing. Nature is beautiful!  
 अनिलः —  रात्रौ चन्द्रः नक्षत्राणि च भवन्ति। तत् अपि सुन्दरम्! 
At night there are the moon and stars. That's beautiful too!  

विवरणम् · Explanation

ऋतुवाक्यानि — “वर्षा भवति” (it rains), “आतपः अस्ति” (it is sunny), “उष्णम् अस्ति” (hot), “शीतम् अस्ति” (cold), “वायुः वहति” (windy)। “भवति” इति “happens / becomes” — ऋतुवार्तायां बहु उपयुज्यते।

Weather sentences are short and verb-light: वर्षा भवति “it's raining”, आतपः अस्ति “it's sunny”, उष्णम्/शीतम् अस्ति “it's hot/cold”, वायुः वहति “the wind blows”. The verb भवति “happens, becomes” is the weather workhorse.

प्रकृतिशब्दाः लिङ्गत्रये सन्ति — वृक्षः, पर्वतः, सूर्यः (पुं.), नदी, वर्षा, प्रकृतिः (स्त्री.), पुष्पम्, नक्षत्रम् (नपुं.)। विशेषणं लिङ्गम् अनुसरति — “नदी सुन्दरा, पुष्पं सुन्दरम्”।

Nature words span all three genders: वृक्षः, सूर्यः, पर्वतः (m.); नदी, वर्षा (f.); पुष्पम्, नक्षत्रम् (n.). Match adjectives accordingly: वृक्षाः हरिताः, नदी सुन्दरा, पुष्पाणि सुन्दराणि. New verbs: तपति blazes, वहति flows/blows, विकसति blooms.
